According to The Bellingham Herald and KNDO Bandidos Bellingham Bandidos Chapter President Glenn Merritt was sentenced to 4 years for Organized Crime Conspiracy. Merritt’s activities included the distribution of methamphetamine, possession of 52 guns, the sale of guns and drugs to undercover police officers and the sale of stolen motorcycle parts (Harley Davidson I assume). Interestingly, the Herald also reports that International and National President of the Bandidos George Wegers was sentenced to 20 months and 3 years probation for organized crime conspiracy. The convictions and any association of the Bandidos with other outlaw motorcycle clubs and one percenters raises interesting questions as to whether these groups are organized crime.
