Crime Sift

Recently I published an entry suggesting that it is a bad idea to take dope to court. An equally stupid case of criminal ingenuity was published this week. In the Journal News a story was published about a man who was trying to smoke crack in an unmarked police car and dropped his torch which exploded. A second vehicle caught fire. Darryl Parker of Yonkers gave a statement admitting that he lit the fire. Parker was charged with third-degree arson, a felony. If Parker had killed himself he would be a solid candidate for the Darwin Awards and my nominee for idiot criminal of the week.
